The wider Saas Valley offers hikers over 350km of trails and with free use of most of the cable cars during the summer you can plan walks from many different mountain stations. Hotel Allalin

Saas-Fee is located in one of the most scenic regions you could hope to find. One of the popular scenic mountain journeys is on the Alpin Express cable car to Felskinn, where you can relax on the sun terrace. From here, the highest undergound funicular takes you up to the the glacial world of the Allalin and unforgettable views.

Spielboden and Längfluh is another fabulous day out, where you will probably spot mountain dwelling marmots, and enjoy views over the village of Saas-Fee and across to the Dom, which at 4,545 is Switzerland's highest mountain. You can make the short transfer to Brig to to join the famous Glacier Express train, taking you over the Alps to St. Moritz or Pontresina. You can also travel via Visp to Montreux, where you can pick up the GoldenPass Express (for Interlaken).
