What to see and do from Gstaad

Gstaad's local mountain, the Wispile, offers a fabulous day out for families with its petting zoo and alpine bowling alley and is also the starting point for high altitude hikes to pretty Lake Lauenen. The Rinderberg is the gateway to the largest hiking region in the Simmental Valley, including the beauty spots and panoramic views around Zweisimmen, Horneggli and Saanenmöser. If you wish to travel even higher, head for Glacier 3000. The views from here are outstanding: on a clear day you can see as far as Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and the Jungfrau mountains. Thrill seekers will enjoy the summer toboggan run above Schönried, while nostalgic horse and carriage rides offer a gentler way to travel.

Enjoy a fantastic two or multi centre holiday, with a scenic rail journey connecting your resorts.
Gstaad is on the route of the GoldenPass Express (for Montreux). You can also take the short transfer to Spiez to join the Lötschberg Regio Express for Bern or Brig, with connections to the famous Glacier Express to St. Moritz.
