Day 1 - Arrive and explore charming Lucerne

Fly from the UK to Zurich in under 2 hours with connecting rail travel to Lucerne.

Welcome to your hotel for your 3 night stay and enjoy exploring the Old Town and lakeside.

Day 2-3 - Free days to enjoy the beautiful Old Town, lake and mountains

With your Swiss Travel Pass, Lucerne is perfect to enjoy free travel around the dramatic scenery of Central Switzerland. A lake cruise is a must along with the famous old cog railway to the stunning peak of Mount Rigi. The Stanserhorn open top deck cable car and the Stoos funicular are also included free with your Swiss Travel Pass along with trips further afield to Bern. Mount Pilatus and other mountain railways and cable cars around Lake Lucerne are available at a 50% reduction.

Day 4 - Luzern-Interlaken Express to Interlaken for 2 nights

The striking Luzern-Interlaken Express journey is 2 hours of joy as you travel over the Brünig Pass and alongside the scenic lake to Interlaken. After check in you will have time to get a flavour of Interlaken and finalise your plans for exploring the region.

Day 5 - Free day in and around the Bernese Oberland

There is so much on offer here with your Swiss Travel Pass which you could use for free unlimited travel on the Lakes of Thun & Brienz and trips into the mountains at Wengen and Grindelwald where mountain railways and cable cars are offered wat up to 50% reduction. A favourite trip is a leisurely cruise from Interlaken to Brienz then change to a half price journey on the Brienzer Rothorn steam railway which has been chugging away since 1892. A memorable visit to the Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe is available at 25% reduction.

Day 6 - The GoldenPass Express train to Montreux

A day to look forward to with this exceptional journey. Board the GoldenPass Express all the way to Montreux. Enjoy views of Lake Thun as you head into the mountains and the Simmen Valley to Zweisimmen. Here, the train switches track and travels on to the alpine resort of Gstaad, before the descent into Montreux, with fabulous views of Lake Geneva.

Day 7 - Explore Montreux and glittering Lake Geneva

Montreux is a fascinating town, with cafés and a wonderful promenade which you can follow to the romantic Chillon Castle. Entry is free with your Swiss Travel Pass, as is travel on the lake steamers and mainline trains so you can visit Geneva for the day, or perhaps Lausanne and the vineyards at Lavaux. The mountain railway to Les Rochers-De-Naye at 50% reduction is highly recommended for spectacular views. Chaplin's World in Vevey is also a great visit with 50% off with your Riviera Card.

Day 8 - Last day

Time for your last look around Montreux before your journey back to the UK.
