The holiday can be adapted in various ways to suit you, including upgrading your hotel room, adding more resorts and rail journeys or changing the duration. This holiday is suggested as 6 days, but can easily be extended to 8 days.

Day 1 - Arrive and explore historic Brig

Fly from the UK to Zurich in under 2 hours with connecting rail travel to Brig.

Welcome to your hotel for your 3 night stay and enjoy a stroll around this interesting town.

Day 2-3 - Free days with a great choice of scenic trips

With your Swiss Travel Pass you can take your pick of stunning visits at no extra cost. Travel to the Matterhorn village of Zermatt or take a trip over the Lötschberger mountains to Lake Thun and enjoy a lake cruise to Interlaken. Alternatively, you can head for the amazing Aletsch Glacier where we recommend buying a local pass, with amazing walks and views. Another possibility is a journey on the Centovalli Line day trip via Domodossola in Italy to Locarno in Switzerland’s Ticino region. You will be spoilt for choice!

Day 4 - Glacier Express to Chur including lunch

Sit back and relax in your reserved seat on this leisurely 4 hour Glacier Express experience to Chur. You will be served lunch while travelling through the picturesque Goms Valley en route to the highest point of the journey - the Oberalp Pass - before a spectacular finale to your journey travelling alongside the Rhine and through the Grand Canyon of Switzerland to Chur.

Day 5 - Free day in Chur and a possible visit to the mountains

Chur is Switzerland’s oldest town and has a delightful centre. It also makes a wonderful base from which to explore the region for free with your Swiss Travel Pass - such as a trip on the spectacular Albula route to St. Moritz. Alternatively try the charming resort of Arosa, another fabulous scenic journey. On arrival you can add a cable car trip to the Weisshorn, at half price, for a high Alps lunch!

Day 6 - Last day in historic Chur

A leisurely start with time in Chur before you take the train back to Zurich airport for your flight to the UK.
