Highlights

Cable car ride and the panorama viewpoint

The gondola cable car departs from Col du Pillon every 20 minutes and takes you up on a scenic 15 minute journey from the valley station to a remarkable world above the tree line. On arrival at the summit you can make your way up the stairs to the panorama viewpoint. Having reached an altitude of 3,000m there is an indescribable 360º view of the most beautiful alpine peaks - from the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau to the Matterhorn ... and twenty-four other 4,000m+ mountains. | Available year round, included in your ticket price.

Peak Walk by Tissot

The world's only suspension bridge to connect two mountain peaks is a sight to behold. Spanning the 107 metres between the peaks, the bridge invites you to take the walk across it and experience pure exhilaration as you gaze out over the Alps. From here you can see the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, the Jungfrau and the Eiger, and many more. Screw up your courage - you will remember forever this experience and the stunning views. | Available year round (depending on weather conditions), included in your ticket price.

Ice Express chairlift

The Ice Express chairlift transports you down from the summit onto the glacier where you can enjoy the Fun Park or start off on the Glacier Walk. | Available year round, included in your ticket price.

Glacier Walk

Walk down from the top station, or take the Ice Express chairlift down to the start of the walk. The Glacier Walk is a leisurely 5km round trip on the marked and prepared glacier trail to Quille du Diable. It offers a fabulous panorama and is accessible to most, being a wide and mostly flat path. Special equipment is not required - normal walking boots will suffice. After an hour, you will reach the Restaurant Refuge l'Espace at the edge of the glacier at Quille du Diable, with spectacular views into the valley. Treat yourself to a drink or lunch, then start your walk back. | Available all year round, included in your ticket price.

Fun Park

A wonderful opportunity to try tobogganing, even in the summer time! Indulge your inner child with fun in the snow, for free. The Fun Park is located at the foot of the Ice Express chairlift. | Available all year round, included in your ticket price.

Hiking

Hiking in the the glacier area gives you an overwhelming sense of freedom and with 75 km of marked mountain trails and alpine routes to try, there is something for everyone from easy family hikes to challenging alpine tours. One recommended example is the Dôme Hike - a two hour circular walk on a wide path with plenty of fresh air and stunning views. From the mountain station, follow the trail up to the Dôme at an altitude of 3,016m. Once you get to the top, you will see the 'Steinmannli' (small stone man) from where you can enjoy breath-taking views of the glacier, the low lying valleys and Les Diablerets summit. | Available July-October, included in your ticket price.

Alpine Coaster

The highest toboggan run in the world starts at the top station. The 1km long route has a 520° loop, 10 curves, 6 waves and 3 jumps with speeds of up to 40km per hour (but don't worry, you control your own speed with the brake lever!). Experience zero gravity, breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy one-of-a-kind views on this fantastic ride on the mountain top. | Available May-October, 9 Sfrs per ride.

Snow Bus

Explore the perpetual ice of the glacier on the Snow Bus. It drives with its caterpillar tracks over the snow and ice and has room for up to 20 people to enjoy the fantastic view. The round trip starts from the foot of the Ice Express chairlift and takes around 15 minutes. | Available May-October, must be pre-booked & payable locally.

Husky Rides

A romantic dog sled ride in the unique mountain arena of Glacier 3000. This is a unique experience during which huskies pull visitors along through the beautiful glacier landscape. Revel in the dogs' joy as they play in the snow and prepare to be impressed at the manner in which they work as a team to pull the sled. The lap of the sled track takes around 10 minutes and you will also have the opportunity to take photos with the dogs. | Available in winter when conditions allow, must be pre-booked (prices vary).

Refreshments and shopping

At the summit station you can find the Restaurant Botta, designed by the architect Mario Botta and offering a fine meal with amazing views. New for summer 2024 is the restaurant's large sun terrace with its uninterrupted view of the Peak Walk and the 4,000m mountain peaks - you'll feel on top of the world! There is also a self-service restaurant. The top station also features a watch and souvenir shop for a gift to mark your day at the top of the mountain. The Refuge L'Espace restaurant is available at Quille du Diable, which you reach via the Glacier Walk. The regional specialities you'll enjoy with a view of the mountains will be worth the effort. | Available all year round.
