Highlights

Ice Palace

Pass through a blue revolving door and step into a shimmering blue world of ice! You are able to walk down long cavern-like passages which widen into rooms and halls. The first ice sculptures appear and you will be amazed by how lifelike they are - eagles, bears and penguins which look like the real thing solidified into ice. This is a fantastic experience and not to be missed. Make sure you wrap up warm...!

Alpine Sensation

For the 100-year anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway, a 250m long adventure tour called Alpine Sensation was opened in 2012 at the Jungfraujoch. This tour is a direct connection from the Sphinx Hall to the Ice Palace, with escalators to transport you to the steeper places. A special highlight is the 'experience alcoves' where the development of tourism in the Alps and the history of the Jungfrau Railway are displayed. In single sensory images with lights and music, the tour tells about tourism past and present in the Jungfrau Region from Adolf Guyer-Zeller's initial idea to the extreme efforts required to construct the Jungfrau Railway.

Jungfrau-Panorama

A 360 degree panoramic mountain experience, with a film allowing you to enter the magical world of the Jungfraujoch as it changes through 365 days of the year. The camera takes visitors for a dive through the fleecy clouds, lets you sink into crevasses and plunge into masses of snow.

Lindt Chocolate Heaven

Discover the fascinating history of Swiss chocolate making at this free exhibition. You'll learn about the whole process from cocoa extraction to the production of the famous Lindt truffles and then have the opportunity to browse in the shop which is filled with delicious treats!

Refreshments

You have a choice of restaurants here, from a quick snack in the self service cafeteria to a more leisurely lunch in the Crystal restaurant. During the summer months you can even enjoy Indian specialities in the Bollywood restaurant.

Sphinx Viewing Platform

The Sphinx is Europe's highest research station, of great importance to environmental scientists, astrophysicists and meteorologists.

You can experience the views they enjoy too! Take the lift up to the amazing viewing platform at 3,571m and gaze out over the awesome Jungfrau Aletsch Glacier. No wonder that this beautiful natural wonder is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a moment to deeply breath in the purest mountain air here, at the top of Europe.

Snow Fun Park

Winter sports in the summer - crazy, but possible. Whether floating on the steel cable, whizzing with skis or snowboards down the slopes or comfortably gliding through the sledging park - enjoy a few hours in the Snow Fun Park. The Hole in One challenge at 3,454m is great fun - if you succeed you can win an Omega watch! Open from April to October.

Hike to Mönchsjoch Hut

The hike from Jungfraujoch to Mönchsjoch hut is approximately 1 hour. It is an amazing way to experience hiking in the Alps and crossing a glacier without ropes or a mountain guide. It is a specially prepared trail, though you must never leave the marked path and wear suitable clothing and footwear.
