Why not visit Interlaken's very own 'house' mountain. It is just an eight minute trip up by funicular to the Harder Kulm which is 1,322m above sea level. It may be a short ride up to the summit but you will be rewarded with amazing views. This is definitely a half day excursion which is not to be missed and is ideal for those who are just passing through Interlaken or only staying for a short duration as it is so easily reached. Harder Kulm also has a children's playground.

The Two Lakes Bridge

The Two Lakes Bridge is west of the restaurant at 1,322m above sea level. An amazing steel structure supports the large platform and visitors can look down below through a glass surface. There are breathtaking views over Interlaken, lakes Thun and Brienz and the surrounding area. You can also cast your gaze upon the beautiful Jungfrau mountains.

Restaurant

At the summit there is a wonderful restaurant that looks like a small castle where you can enjoy the magnificent bird's eye views of Interlaken. The Harder Kulm restaurant is open daily from 09.30 to 18.30 for breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack or a glass of wine to sip as you enjoy the views. An additional Jungfrau Panorama room has recently opened, with additional seating and huge windows, perfect for taking in the mountain views.

In the long summer evenings, you will find the restaurant open until 21.15 for sunset suppers.

Harder Sunday breakfast

Every Sunday between April and October you can make your way to the Harder Kulm and have a hearty breakfast in the panoramic restaurant or on the sun terrace.

Available until 11am each Sunday morning.

Folklore Show

From May to October, there are live folklore shows at the Harder Kulm. Enjoy the traditional Swiss music from performers in folklore dress as you gaze out over the magnificent scenery.

Children's Playground

Children can let off steam in the new alpine playground which is located just next to the restaurant.
